With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Prof. Zbigniew Kozanecki

A long‑time employee of the Institute of Turbomachinery, Former Head of the Department of Diagnostics and Automation of Fluid‑Flow Devices, Long‑standing academic teacher and specialist in the diagnostics of rotary machines, Former Member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Turbomachinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk.

Professor Kozanecki was an outstanding scientist and practitioner. He was honoured with, among others, the Silver Cross of Merit, the Medal of the National Education Commission,

and the Gold Medal for Long Service.

The funeral ceremony will take place on 10 June 2026 at 2:00 p.m. 

at the Roman Catholic Cemetery of St Joseph, 39 Ogrodowa Street, Lodz.
