GUST – Generative Urban Small Turbine is a student's project that had started in October 2015. The project is coordinated by the members of the Student's Association of Energists (SKNE), operating under the Institute of Turbomachinery of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Łódź University of Technology. We are looking for students willing to join our project:

On the day 27nd of May 2025, in the Institute of Turbomachinery, mgr inż. Maciej Podsędkowski presented a seminar: "Variable pitch propeller mechanism optimization for drive play reduction."

Institute of Turbomachinery receives an award for the Most Valuable Implementation of 2024.

Using the funds provided by Fundacja Politechniki Łódzkiej, the project room (223) in the Institute of Turbomachinery has been equipped with fourteen movable soundwalls.

On the day 4th of April in the Institute of Turbomachinery Ernest Kmieciak presented a seminar: "AI crash course - On AI and AI tools".

On 5th of March 2025 a public discussion of doctoral dissertation: "Influence of different design solutions of progressive guide vanes on the efficiency of radial fans", by mgr inż. Dawid Zarębski was held in the Institute. The dissertation was written under the guidance of prof. dr hab. inż. Krzysztof Jóźwik.

On the day 25th of February in the Institute of Turbomachinery M. Sc. Tariq Ullah presented a seminar: "Passive flow control methods for stall control in a centrifugal compressor".
