A strong performance by LST in France brought the team an excellent result!
The Lodz Solar Team has once again proven its excellence, securing 3rd place in two key categories — the long‑distance race and the efficiency challenge — at the prestigious Albi Eco Race 2026 in France. This remarkable achievement confirms the team’s growing position in the international solar vehicle competition arena.
This year’s event marked the team’s debut on the legendary Circuit d’Albi. Despite the demanding track and very strong competition, the students of Lodz University of Technology adapted quickly to the new environment, achieving a result that is a source of immense pride.
The success in Albi is also the result of the refined construction of the Eagle Two vehicle, on which the team had been working for many months. Technical improvements, extensive testing, and the dedication of the entire team translated into stable and efficient performance, enabling excellent results in both categories.
The trip and participation in the competition would not have been possible without broad institutional and partner support, particularly from the Authorities of Lodz University of Technology, the International Faculty of Engineering (IFE), the Sports Bay of LUT, the Institute of Turbomachinery, and the Rector, Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik, who actively supported the preparations and made the participation possible. An important contribution also came from the funding provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, which enabled the team to take part in the event.
Lodz Solar Team also highlights the crucial role of its Partners, who support the technological development of the project: AQ Wiring Systems, TME – Transfer Multisort Elektronik, and Hart‑Tech. Their engagement and trust form the foundation on which the team can build further achievements.
Although securing two podium finishes is a reason to celebrate, the team has no intention of slowing down. The success in Albi has only strengthened their motivation to continue improving the vehicle and to compete for top positions in the coming seasons. This achievement is a testament to the team’s dedication and expertise. Congratulations to the Lodz Solar Team — and best wishes for many more impressive successes ahead.
