On the day 11th of February in the Institute of Turbomachinery M. Sc. Muhammad Zahid presented a seminar: "Non-linear feature extraction methods in centrifugal compressor".
The seminar has covered the ongoing research conducted as part of the doctoral dissertation. Initially, an overview of flow instabilities in centrifugal compressors was provided. The discussion then shifted to entropy-based signal analysis, focusing on Approximate Entropy (ApEn). It included the influence of key parameters like embedding dimension, threshold, and window size on the analysis. Experimental setups and results using the (ApEn) method were also presented. Finally, the session has concluded with insights into future activities related to the Individual Research Plan (IRP).
We give our thanks to M. Sc. Zahid, and everyone who attended the seminar, and we encourage our students and employees to join the seminars we will organize in the future.
