The results of the nationwide competition for the best master's thesis ensured the second place and a distinction for syudents of the Institute of Turbo Machinery of the Lodz University of Technology
In the workshop, organized by a team of employees of the Department of Thermal Technology of the Silesian University of Technology, under the leadership of Prof. Ryszard Białecki, in the finals of the 19th edition of the nationwide competition for the best master's thesis on the application of computational methods to the simnulation of heat-flow processes, the jury decided to award the following places to students of the Institute of Turbo Machinery of the Lodz University of Technology
- II place for Mateusz Szydłowski
- distinction for Jakub Bobrowski
The competition took place on July 7 at the headquartyers of Hitachi Energy in Krakow. Diring the event, the participants presented their diploma theses, covering simulations of the influence of humid air on the destruction of halite crystals in the Wieliczka salt mine, condensation modeling, water wave dissipation and heat exchangers. The jury evaluated the content of the diploma theses and the quality of the presentation.
