The Institute of Turbomachinery is pleased to announce the acquisition of a new research project.
Institute of Turbomachinery of Lodz University of Technology would like to inform about the acquisition from the National Science Centre of a research project entitled "Development of a compressed Greitzer-CFD model for the analysis of flow instability in central compressors". The project ws acquired by M.Sc. Abdul Basit, who will also serve as its manager.
The aim of the project is to develop an integrated method for the analysis of flow instability phenomena in central compressors, combining the classical Greitzer theory with advanced CFD calculations. The implementation of the project will contribute to the development of tools supporting modern methods of design and diagnostics of rotor machines.
The project will also create new conditions for expanding knowledge about instability phenomena in flow-through machines and for the development of numerical methods used in the analysis of turbomachine systems. The developed model will provide important support for both scientific research and engineering applications related to the design and operation of central compressors.
