Using the funds provided by Fundacja Politechniki Łódzkiej, the project room (223) in the Institute of Turbomachinery has been equipped with fourteen movable soundwalls.
The amount of 10 000 PLN provided by Fundacja Politechniki Łódzkiej has allowed us to purchase fourteen soundwalls for the project room 223 in the Institute. The room has a lot of space available for the researchers, fitting up to seven teams of 8-10 people. However, with so many people working at the same time, it was impossible to avoid disrupting noise.
The soundwalls, made from 85-95% renewable wood fibers and covered with a thick layer of fabric, assure effective noise cancellation. Additionally, they can be used as an additional screen to attach photos and notes to, during presentations and discussions that happen in the project room. The attached wheels allow the team members to easily move the soundwalls around the room, and divide the space in a way most optimal for all the groups working there at the same time.
Purchased soundwalls will make sharing the room much more pleasant and effective, without the need to spend additional resources on building permanent walls. It is a great and efficient improvement for work comfort.
