The students from Łódź University of Technology recently have become European Champions. Their car "Eagle Two" has managed to circle the racing circuit 140 times on one charge, during the iLumen Challenge in Belguim.
The students from Lodz Solar Team (student group of Łódź University of Technology) have became European Champions during iLumen European Solar Challenge in Belgium, on the Circuit Zolder racing circuit in September 2022. In the last year's race 18 teams from around the world had competed for the title.
It is another success of Lodz Solar Team: in 2018 they had won that year's iLumen and in 2021 they had achieved the second place. European Challenge for solar-powered electric cars follows the rules of the legendary Le Mans race and lasts 24 hours.
