Iron Warriors student group is looking for volunteers for their "Changemakers of tomorrow" project:
An announcement about the enrollment for the "Changemakers of tomorrow" project, which is planned to be attached by the Łódź University of Technology to non-competitive project of the Minister of Science: "The support of students in developing their abilities and skills" financed as a part of the Action 01.05 The Skills in higher education from the funds of
European Funds for Social Development Program 2021-2027.
The goal of this project is the support of students in developing their abilities and skills, increasing their scientific activity and innovativeness and creativity, by allowing them to compete in multinational competitions, contests and scientific conferences.
As a part of the project "Changemakers of tomorrow" we plan to take part in Shell Eco-marathon 2025, Albi Eco Race 2025 and Challenge EcoGreen Energy 2025. To do this, we need to prepare two supereconomical bolides of the prototype class - an electric and fuel-powered one. During the preparation phase we will also conduct engineering and scientific research, that will be the basis for our presentation for an international conference. For the project, we are looking for up to 45 people, including:
⚙ Mechanics - We are looking for people who are not afraid of grease and power tools and who have experience in CAD tools for 3D modeling. We would also appreciate experience with 3D printing, MES analysis software and general manual skills (such as the knowledge of basic tools used in a car workshop). We need experienced people who are not afraid to face new challenges.
The mechanics division of our group will design new parts and systems that will allow our bolides to score more records. The division will also perform simulations utilizing the finite element method, create prototypes and new utility parts in our workshop, use conventional lathe and CNC milling machine and perform general mechanics work around the vehicles and our workshop. Consistent work and good teamwork are the basis of achieving the goals we had set out.
⚡ Electronic Engineers - We are looking for people who know KiCAD software for PCB (printed circuit boards), how to use basic tools, how to use diagnostic and measuring apparatus and how to solder SMD and THT elements. We need experienced people who are not afraid to face new challenges.
Electronics division will design new electronic systems for the bolides and develop and improve the previos ones. Additionally, it will design and create PCB tiles, inspect electronic parts, select subsystems for the electric bolide plus design and create electrical systems for its power generation and optimize the control system for electric motor. Consistent work and good teamwork are the basis of achieving the goals we had set out.
💻 Programmers - We are looking for people who know Python, Embeeded System, Docker and microservice structure.
Programming division will be tasked with creating and maintaining the telemetry systems of both bolides. It will closely cooperate with electronics division, to connect the systems inside the vehicles with outside servers and with all the tasks that would require basic programming skills.
☢ PR specialists - People who are not afraid to interact with others, well-organized, able to make plans and manage groups of people.
The PR team will contact various corporations and institutions, looking for sponsors, collaborations with their representatives and opportunities to organize or join events.
📸 Marketing specialists - photographers, video editors and movie makers who know how to edit photos and videos, ghostwriters for our social media and social media managers.
Marketing team will record the work of our team and create reports from various events as well as promote us on various social media.
If you want to become a part of this team, we are waiting for your application!
